Why JAW Radio?
Why JAW Radio? If you want to find out more about us, you may visit our About Us page. However, there are thousands of people you could be listening to right now, but somehow you have found your way here. Why should you listen to us?
Now you must have heard this many times, people claiming to have the truth of the scripture. Indeed, the word truth is so overused, and it must be what you are seeking for. Well, guess what? So are we!
We are among those who are seeking the truth of the scriptures to our own hurt. What we find, we tell you. But what is the difference between us and others?
We have accepted that the Most High sets conditions for delivering his truth. He just does not give everything to everyone. That is why he told us:
Mat 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
That which is holy is given to holy people who fear him (Psa 111:10). Hence we must be walking after perfection, in obedience to his word, having denied self, picking up our stake and following his son (Mat 16:24), not loving our lives unto the death (Rev 12:11).
Then we seek the Father with all our heart (Jer 29:13), to our own hurt (Psa 15:4). This means also that we must not be using the scriptures for gain (1 Tim 6:6-8). We must be willing to give, expecting nothing in return (Mat 10:8).
That is a sure way to receive his truth.
On top of that, he told us how to get the understanding of his word. You see, there are two approaches to handling scripture.
In latin, they are called the “a priori” and the “a posteriori” approaches. Sadly, almost all persons you will listen to use the a priori approach. But what is it?
This is when we have a conclusion and find “evidence” to back our conclusion. the extreme cases of this approach today is known as “apologetics.” Through “a priori,” I will have my conclusion, usually based on what I had been taught, and so go to find scriptures to back my belief.
These are the religious persons who will be giving you their own private interpretations (2 Pet 1:20) and will not be teaching truth. Why?
Because opposing that is the “a posteriori” approach. This is when no conclusion is assumed, but we seek out the leading of scriptures under the guidance of Ruach HaQadosh (The Holy Spirit). The Ruach HaQadosh will then guide us into the scriptural truth (John 16:13).
Where is this in the bible?
Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
Isa 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
The latter (a posteriori), is how we teach here at JAW Radio, led, guided into all truth through the leading of the Ruach HaQadosh. Below, we have an audio describing this approach.
By the way, you may find more audio like this on our podcast page.
How to Understand The Bible: Precept Upon Precept
So this is why we think you should spend some time with JAW Radio. By the way, if you stay long enough with us, we believe you will realize that you have truly found the truth as we seek to really obey Sha’ul’s (Paul’s) advice to:
1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
You should do so to.
